Job summary

Autism 360 seeks a BCBA to join our Charlotte Metro team as an Initial Assessor / Floater. You’ll conduct initial assessments, develop individualized treatment plans, and help families understand next steps at the very start of their ABA journey.

This role offers substantial variety across centers, with field-based travel throughout the greater Charlotte area, collaborative clinical leadership, and growth opportunities while delivering high quality care to children and families.

Qualifications

• Current BCBA certification in good standing.
• Master’s degree or higher in ABA, Psychology, Education or related field.
• Eligibility to practice in North Carolina with licensure requirements.
• At least 1 year of post-certification BCBA experience.
• Experience with autistic children and adolescents.

Responsibilities

• Conduct initial ABA assessments for children and adolescents.
• Develop individualized treatment plans and goals.
• Prepare assessment reports and payer documentation.

Autism 360 is looking for an experienced, compassionate Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to join our Charlotte Metro area team as an Initial Assessor / Floater BCBA.

Instead of managing the same traditional caseload every day, you’ll play an important role at the very beginning of a family’s journey with Autism 360—conducting initial assessments, developing individualized treatment plans, and helping families understand what comes next. You’ll also step in to provide clinical support across our Charlotte-area centers when teams need additional BCBA coverage.

What You’ll Do

Initial Assessments & Treatment Planning

You’ll help set the foundation for high-quality care by:

• Conducting comprehensive initial ABA assessments for children and adolescents
• Completing direct observations, caregiver interviews, record reviews, skills assessments, functional behavior assessments, and standardized assessments as appropriate
• Identifying each learner’s strengths and areas of need across communication, adaptive, social, behavioral, and developmental domains
• Developing individualized treatment plans, measurable goals, behavior support plans, and clinical recommendations
• Preparing accurate, timely assessment reports and documentation for payer authorization
• Meeting with caregivers to explain findings, recommendations, goals, and next steps in a way that feels clear and supportive
• Partnering with intake, operations, scheduling, and clinical teams to help families transition smoothly into services

Clinical Floater Support

When our teams need additional clinical support, you’ll jump in to help maintain continuity of care by:

• Providing short-term BCBA coverage during vacancies, leaves, caseload changes, or other clinical needs
• Reviewing existing programs and client progress
• Conducting observations, supervision, overlaps, caregiver training, and treatment-plan reviews
• Supporting RBTs and behavior technicians through modeling, coaching, feedback, and clinical guidance
• Updating programming when clinically appropriate
• Collaborating with center and clinical leadership to address immediate client and team needs

Flexibility is important in this position. Assignments may change based on assessment schedules and clinical needs.

Local Travel Is an Important Part of This Role

This is not a fully remote BCBA position.

Candidates must have reliable transportation and be willing and able to travel to Autism 360 centers throughout the greater Charlotte area for in-person assessments and clinical coverage.

Depending on client needs, services may also occur in home, school, or community-based settings.

What We’re Looking For

You’ll need:

• Current Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) certification in good standing
• Master’s degree or higher in Applied Behavior Analysis, Psychology, Education, Special Education, Behavior Analysis, or a related field
• Eligibility to practice behavior analysis in North Carolina, including applicable state licensure or credentialing requirements
• At least 1 year of post-certification BCBA experience
• Experience working with autistic children and adolescents
• Strong knowledge of ABA principles, functional assessment, treatment planning, skill‑acquisition programming, and caregiver training
• Excellent clinical writing and documentation skills
• Confidence communicating with families, RBTs, clinicians, and operational partners
• Strong organization and time‑management skills
• The ability to shift priorities and comfortably support different clients, teams, and locations
• A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation

Bonus points if you have experience with: initial assessments, standardized assessment tools, payer authorizations, multiple service settings, mentoring RBTs, or providing temporary clinical coverage.
