Job summary

Fresh Express Salads seeks a Forklift Operator to safely operate powered jacks/trucks and move materials within the warehouse. The role involves staging products, rotation of inventory, and maintaining accurate documentation while adhering to SOPs and safety policies.

The ideal candidate is flexible for weekend shifts, capable of working in cold environments, and may speak English, Spanish, and Vietnamese. Prior forklift experience is a plus and teamwork is essential.

Qualifications

• Must be able to operate powered jacks/trucks safely and efficiently.
• Flexibility to work weekends as needed.
• Able to work in wet and/or cold environments (32-36°F).
• Bilingual in English/Spanish/Vietnamese is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Inspect powered jacks/trucks for safe operation.
• Operate powered jacks/trucks to move materials within the warehouse.
• Ensure compliance with SOPs, safety, and Fresh Express policies.
• Maintain accurate documentation for all functions performed.
• Keep dock areas, coolers, and work areas clean and orderly.
• Coordinate with supervisors, clerks, production, and QA as needed.
• Use Voice system to stage products to assigned locations.
• Perform proper product rotation in a timely manner.
• Perform other duties as required or assigned.

Forklift Operator Summary:

The Forklift Driver associate may be asked to perform shipping, receiving, or inventory functions as needed. Generally, this position is responsible for using a forklift, walker or hand jack to move materials within the warehouse, which may include raw product, dry goods, or finished goods. This position is responsible for following proper procedures for product rotation and flow through the warehouse. The incumbent is also responsible for all documents and procedures required for this function.

Daily Tasks & Functions:

• Inspect powered jacks/powered trucks for operating conditions and safety.
• Operation of powered jacks/powered trucks.
• Compliance to SOP's, Safety, and all other Fresh Express policies.
• Accurate, timely and efficient workflow for all assignments.
• Perform all documentation required for function being performed.
• Maintain clean and orderly work area, including all dock areas, raw and finished coolers.
• Communicate with assistant/supervisors, clerks, production, and QA as needed.
• Use Voice system to stage the product to assigned location.
• Complete proper rotation of product in a timely manner.
• Perform other duties as required or assigned.
• Self-Motivated individual who requires minimal supervision

Other Desired Skills or Qualifications:
