Job summary

GreenGate Fresh LLLP is seeking a forklift operator to move pallets and merchandise inside a production warehouse. You will operate electric forklifts, stack and retrieve supplies, and maintain clean, safe work areas in a cold environment, with 33°F/1°C conditions.

The role requires 2 years of experience, a forklift license, and completion of GreenGate Fresh Forklift Training. Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Operate forklifts to stack and retrieve supplies and materials.

• Maintain neat, safe stacks and housekeeping in the warehouse.
• Move pallets and merchandise across and around the facility.
• Monitor area for pedestrians and vehicular traffic while operating forklift.
• Coordinate with other lift truck drivers and production personnel to process orders.
• Maintain daily logs and proper stocking of materials.
• Work in cold environment (33°F/1°C) and flexible hours.

SUMMARY OF POSITION:This position is responsible for driving/operating a forklift inside of the production plant . Able to work in a fast paced and under pressure environment. Operates forklifts to stack and retrieve supplies and materials. Works under immediate supervision. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department.KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:Adheres to all safety policies and proceduresObeys all Cal/OSHA guidelines and regulationsEnsures equipment is in safe operating condition.Fill out pre-start up forklift inspection form- Report any issues to your immediate supervisorEnforce and actively participate in general housekeeping duties and debris removal in order to reduce the risk of potential accidents and hazardous conditions.Maintain neat, orderly and safe stacks of stocks in the wahouse.Responsibilities include transporting merchandise across warehouse and also to outside locations.Wrapped pallets in plastic wrap and attached merchandise tags.Shrink-wrapped an average of 55 pallets per day.Monitored ther area for pedestrian and vehicular traffic while operating forklift.Maneuvered forklift safely in congested and confirmed areas.Must be able to work flexible hours in a cold environment (33 Deg F / 1 Deg C).Coordinate with other lift truck drivers and production personnel to process orders efficiently.Maintains clear and open communication with management.Examined product boxes for quality and accuracy.Move pallets of merchandise using electricPlaced overstocked items in temporary storage.General warehouse duties as needed.Learn and understand the various loading configurations, and patterns of product / commoditiesKnowledge of all product boxesMaintain daily logMaintain workstation’s stocked with proper materials (rolls, boxes etc)The above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by employees in this position.
