Job summary

Redwood Smoke Shack is hiring a Pit Hand/BBQ Cook to join our growing team as we open a third location in Hampton Roads. The role focuses on Texas-inspired BBQ with a strong emphasis on live-fire cooking and consistent quality in a fast-paced environment.

Ideal candidates have at least 3 years of experience in high-volume kitchens, can scale recipes, and demonstrate reliability with a strong work ethic. We offer full-time hours, a supportive team, and opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• Be culinary professional with a passion for food and barbeque.
• Be articulate and able to listen and communicate effectively.
• Have at least 3 years experience in high volume kitchens.
• Have the ability to scale recipes up or down by multiplying and dividing fractions and converting units of measurement.
• Be able to self-manage, prioritize tasks and plan out your shift accordingly.
• Possess an excellent work ethic and desire to learn and continually grow.
• Have reliable transportation.
