Job summary

Southside Market & BBQ is seeking team members in Texas who share our authentic, servant-leadership culture. We focus on delivering consistent premium quality food, excellent customer service, and genuine Texas hospitality as we expand our historic BBQ legacy.

You will interact with guests, help prepare orders, and ensure accuracy and safety. A Food Handler Certificate is required before day 1, with prior food handling and customer service experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Food Handler Certificate required before day 1.
• Previous food handling experience preferred.
• Previous customer service experience preferred.
• Ability to listen, read, write and speak fluently in English for all job related circumstances.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure.
• Practical problem solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Communicates well with guests to ensure accuracy of order and guest satisfaction.
• Communicates with management when meat items need replenished.
• Helps prepare orders and ensures accuracy of each order.
• Utilizes safe and efficient knife skills to cut and package smoked meats to order.
• Weighs meats to exact specifications.
• Accurately completes transfer sheets.
• Maintains cleanliness and organization.
• Observes safety and security standards.
