Job summary

Southern Methodist University (SMU) in Dallas, TX, seeks an Associate Director of B.B.A. Admission to lead outreach, review applications, and support high-touch recruiting for the Cox School of Business.

This on-campus role drives enrollment goals and strengthens relationships with prospective students and school partners. The position requires a Bachelor's degree (Master's preferred), 5+ years in admission or student services, and strong communication, organizational, and tech skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree is required, preferably in Business or Higher Education.
• Master's degree is preferred.
• Minimum of five years of work experience required, with at least three in admission and/or student service roles.
• Experience reviewing student admission applications is also required.

Responsibilities

• B.B.A. Recruitment: Participate in strategic recruitment and retention of BBA Scholars and Business Direct students; develop relationships with prospective students and counselors; own recruitment strategy for assigned territories; represent the program at events.
• B.B.A. Admission: Evaluate applications for first-year and external transfer applicants; read applications, make recommendations, participate in the admission committee.
• Program Management: Plan and execute on-campus recruitment events; manage content and partnerships with campus offices.
• Office Management: Develop communications strategy for prospective students; evaluate programming and communications channels.
• Operational Excellence: Ensure excellence in daily duties; track recruitment effectiveness and adjust strategies; support event execution.
• Other duties: Able to work evenings and weekends; frequent travel.
