Job summary

Southern Methodist University (SMU) Cox School of Business in Dallas seeks an Assistant Dean to lead the growth and competitiveness of its FT MBA and MS programs. The role oversees recruitment, admissions, yield, and enrollment for programs enrolling over 500 students annually and generating substantial revenue, directing day-to-day leadership of the Full-Time and MS Admissions teams.

Qualifications

• Master's degree required; MBA preferred.
• Minimum 10 years of professional experience, with at least 3 years in management.
• Admissions experience preferred, preferably MBA admissions.
• Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication; ability to collaborate across stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• FT MBA and MS Portfolio Strategy: develop strategies and metrics for the FT MBA/MS portfolio.
• Staff Leadership: supervise and develop admissions team.
• Operational Excellence: optimize candidate lifecycle processes from outreach to enrollment.
• Marketing / Outreach: plan and execute campaigns with Cox leadership and partners.
• Program Support: ensure alignment with registrar and career services for student experience.
• Metrics / Rankings: manage data for rankings and internal reviews.
• Budget: oversee budget and scholarship spend; report variances.
