Job summary

Mamahuhu in San Francisco is seeking a General Manager to lead the Noe Valley restaurant, overseeing both front and back of house to deliver standout guest experiences.

You'll learn kitchen operations, manage labor and food costs, and mentor a 15–20 person team, driving hospitality, culture, and community. This full-time role is based in the San Francisco Bay Area with robust benefits and a collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• Based in the San Francisco Bay Area or able to commute
• Leadership experience in any industry; restaurant/Kitchen BOH experience highly valued
• Willingness to learn kitchen operations hands-on and lead BOH with confidence
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and people-management skills
• Customer-centric hospitality mindset and positive energy

Responsibilities

• Recruit, train, and mentor FOH and BOH teams with a culture of care, fun, and accountability
• Lead by example and embody Mamahuhu’s core values
• Oversee daily team logistics: scheduling, timecards, time off, etc. across the restaurant
• Master every role in the restaurant to train and uphold standards
• Manage costs (labor, food) aligned with company targets and hit weekly/period targets
• Partner with Operations to optimize systems and ensure safety compliance
