AmeriCorps VISTA in Virginia seeks a dedicated member for a year of service with the Bay Aging Supportive Housing Systems VISTA (hybrid).

Qualifications

• Experience in AmeriCorps VISTA is preferred.
• Interest in aging, housing, homelessness, and policy analysis.

Responsibilities

• Research housing models and develop improved tenant selection and supportive housing policies.
• Redevelop Tenant Selection Plan and related preference programs.
• Coordinate case management and resident services coordination.
• Contribute to Permanent Supportive Housing policies.

Member Duties :

Serve your community and develop your professional skills through a year of service with AmeriCorps VISTA! In this hybrid position, the Bay aging Supportive Housing Systems VISTA will build capacity by researching existing models for and developing improved tenant selection and supportive housing models for age- and income-restricted rental housing operations. The Member will do so by redeveloping and improving the Tenant Selection Plan, Homelessness and Veterans preference program, case management and resident services coordination system, and Permanent Supportive Housing policies. The right fit for this position will be a highly motivated individual with an interest in age- and income-restricted service-enriched rental housing, homelessness response system improvement, data and policy analysis, and community service.
