Job summary

Interstate Batteries in Lewiston, ME is hiring a Warehouse Team Member II to keep a well-stocked, organized warehouse and assist Route Service Managers. You will deliver batteries regularly and support forklift and motor vehicle operations as needed.

The role requires attention to safety, accuracy in warehouse reporting, and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment. Equal opportunity employer.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year warehouse experience.
• Written, interpersonal, and verbal communication skills.
• Strong time management and ability to work under pressure.
• Knowledge of carrier operations, shipment routing, and distribution methods.
• Understanding of hazardous shipping laws and requirements; ability to operate motor vehicles and/or forklift.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload batteries.
• Restock batteries.
• Charge, clean, date and rewrap rotations.
• Charge, test, clean, and date adjustment batteries.
• Maintain a safe and clean warehouse environment.
• Accurately maintain warehouse reporting and claims.
• Operate a forklift and motor vehicle.
• Run the Hot Shots on a timely basis as needed.
• Fill in for NAC Delivery Specialist or RSM, as needed.
• Collect and handle payments on account, which may include cash, checks and money orders.
• Collect and return junk and/or used batteries to the warehouse.
• Follow / fulfill all driver program requirements, as specified by the manager.
• Other duties as requested.
