Job summary

Interstate Batteries is hiring a Warehouse Team Member II to keep a well-stocked, organized warehouse and to assist Route Service Managers. You’ll be delivering batteries on a regular basis.

Responsibilities include loading and unloading batteries, restocking, testing and dating batteries, forklift operation, maintaining safety, and supporting other delivery roles as needed; a clean driving record is required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year warehouse experience preferred.
• Written, interpersonal, and verbal communication skills.
• Strong time management skills and ability to work under pressure.
• Knowledge of carrier operations, shipment routing, and distribution methods.
• Knowledge of state, federal, and interstate commerce regulations.
• Working knowledge of computers or ability to learn applicable systems.
• Understanding of hazardous shipping laws and requirements.
• Ability to operate motor vehicles and/or forklift.
• Must have a clean driving record and meet driver qualifications.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload batteries
• Restock batteries
• Charge, clean, date and rewrap rotations
• Charge, test, clean, and date adjustment batteries
• Maintain a safe and clean warehouse environment
• Accurately maintain warehouse reporting and claims
• Operate a forklift and motor vehicle
• Run the Hot Shots on a timely basis as needed
• Fill in for NAC Delivery Specialist or RSM as needed
• Collect and handle payments on account, which may include cash, checks and money orders
• Collect and return junk and/or used batteries to the warehouse
• Follow / fulfill all driver program requirements, as specified by the manager
• Other duties as requested
