Job summary

Interstate Batteries seeks a Warehouse Team Member II to keep our warehouse well stocked and organized while assisting Route Service Managers. You will load and unload batteries and deliver on a regular basis.

This role requires safety awareness, basic computer skills, and the ability to operate a forklift or motor vehicle. You’ll back up NAC Delivery Specialist or RSM as needed and participate in warehouse reporting.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year warehouse experience preferred.
• Written, interpersonal, and verbal communication skills.
• Strong time management skills and able to work under pressure.
• Knowledge of carrier operations, shipment routing, and distribution methods.
• Knowledge of state, federal, and interstate commerce regulations.
• Working knowledge of computers or ability to learn applicable systems required.
• Understanding of hazardous shipping laws and requirements.
• Ability to operate motor vehicles and/or forklift.
• Must have a clean driving record AND meet driver qualifications requirements.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload batteries
• Restock batteries
• Charge, clean, date and rewrap rotations
• Charge, test, clean, and date adjustment batteries
• Maintain a safe and clean warehouse environment
• Accuratelymaintainwarehouse reporting and claims
• Operate a forklift and motor vehicle
• Run the Hot Shots ona timelybasis as needed
• Fill in for NAC Delivery Specialist or RSM, as needed
• Collect and handle payments on account, which may include cash, checks and money orders
• Collect and return junk and/or used batteries to the warehouse.
• Follow / fulfill all driver program requirements, as specified by the manager.
• Other duties as requested
