Job summary

Interstate Batteries in Mundelein, IL is seeking a Warehouse Team Member II to help maintain a well-stocked, organized warehouse and to assist Route Service Managers. Responsibilities include loading/unloading batteries, restocking, and ensuring accurate inventory and reporting.

The role requires a valid driver's record and ability to operate forklift or other motor vehicles. Candidates should have at least 1 year of warehouse experience (preferred), strong communication and time-management

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year warehouse experience (preferred).
• Written, interpersonal, and verbal communication skills.
• Strong time management skills and able to work under pressure.
• Knowledge of carrier operations, shipment routing, and distribution methods.
• Knowledge of state, federal, and interstate commerce regulations.
• Understanding of hazardous shipping laws and requirements.
• Ability to operate motor vehicles and/or forklift.
• Must have a clean driving record AND meet driver qualifications requirements.
• Working knowledge of computers or ability to learn applicable systems.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload batteries.
• Restock batteries.
• Charge, clean, date and rewrap rotations.
• Charge, test, clean, and date adjustment batteries.
• Maintain a safe and clean warehouse environment.
• Accurately maintain warehouse reporting and claims.
• Operate a forklift and motor vehicle.
• Run the Hot Shots on a timely basis as needed.
• Fill in for NAC Delivery Specialist or RSM, as needed.
• Collect and handle payments on account, which may include cash, checks and money orders.
• Collect and return junk and/or used batteries to the warehouse.
• Follow / fulfill all driver program requirements, as specified by the manager.
• Other duties as requested
