Job summary

Interstate Batteries is seeking a Warehouse Team Member II to maintain a well-stocked, organized warehouse and support Route Service Managers by delivering batteries on a regular basis. You will load/unload, restock, test and date batteries, and ensure a safe, clean workspace while handling warehouse reporting and occasional back-up driving tasks.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year warehouse experience preferred.
• Written, interpersonal, and verbal communication skills.
• Knowledge of carrier operations, shipment routing, and distribution methods.
• Understanding of hazardous shipping laws and requirements.
• Ability to operate motor vehicles and/or forklift.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload batteries.
• Restock batteries and manage inventory.
• Charge, test, and date adjustment batteries.
• Maintain a safe, clean warehouse environment.
• Operate a forklift and drive company vehicles as needed.
• Run hot shot deliveries and back-up routes when required.
• Collect payments on account and handle cash or checks.
