Job summary

Continental Battery Co. in Portland, OR is seeking a Field Service Technician to install, test, repair, and maintain batteries of all sizes. You may travel to customer sites for field service, perform light automotive maintenance, and safely recover used batteries while supporting warehouse tasks.

Qualifications

Experience with safe forklift driving practices and material handling.
Knowledge of battery products and safety procedures.
Ability to perform light automotive preventive maintenance.

Responsibilities

Safely deliver a high-quality customer experience while increasing the profitable sales of company products and services.
Obtain referrals from customers and generate leads.
Be knowledgeable about products carried and educate customers on promoted items.
Assist retail customers and perform battery installations; may perform light automotive preventive maintenance.
Load and offload vehicles, prepare shipments, ensure warehouse is orderly, safe, and clean.
Label products and perform battery charging and reconditioning. Perform inventory cycle counts and complete counts.
