Job summary

Continental Battery Systems is seeking an Auto Technician (Golf Carts) to install, maintain, test, troubleshoot, repair and replace batteries of all sizes. The role may involve field service, deliveries, and warehouse tasks with emphasis on safety and customer service.

Typical hours are 7 AM–6 PM, Monday–Friday, with possible weekend shifts; reports to the Branch Manager. AA degree preferred and 1 year as a WA for the company or as an automotive technician elsewhere.

Qualifications

• AA Degree or equivalent; 3.0 or higher GPA preferred
• Meeting the KSAVs: Customer-Centric, One-Team, Always Moving Forward, Powerful Brands and Services, Environmental Health & Safety
• Minimum 1 year working as a WA for the Company, or 1 year as Automotive Technician or equivalent elsewhere

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, test, troubleshoot, repair and replace batteries of all sizes.
• Drive to customer destinations for field service when required.
• Perform light maintenance and automotive mechanic work.
• Safely recover used batteries and support warehouse tasks including shipping, receiving, and inventory control.
• May perform occasional deliveries to support customer relationships.

Title: Auto Technician (Golf Carts)

Reports To: Typically reports to the Branch Manager

Classification: Full-Time/Part-Time, Regular, Non-Exempt Exclusively

Normal Hours: Commonly an 8-hour shift scheduled between 7 AM and 6 PM, Monday-Friday with occasional weekends

General Description (major Areas Of Responsibility Of This Position)

A person in this position is responsible for installing, maintaining, testing, troubleshooting, repairing and replacement of batteries of all sizes. Knowledge on battery product and equipment, policies and procedures is significant. Determines and recommends which products or services best fit the customers\' needs which may require driving to customer destination (field service). Performs light, preventative maintenance, automotive mechanic work. This person is also responsible to safely recover used batteries, perform warehouse tasks associated with shipping, receiving, loading, inventory control, and battery maintenance, and records the successful processes and procedures required to carry out all functions. May perform occasional deliveries to support the customer relationship. Experience with safe forklift driving practices and material handling equipment and processes is significant. Excellence is demonstrated consistently and process improvements are contributed.

Minimum Qualifications

Formal Training (courses, degrees, and credentials required):

• AA Degree or equivalent; 3.0 or higher GPA preferred

Experience (type And Amount Of Experience Required)

• Meeting the below KSAVs and
• Minimum 1 year working as a WA for the Company, or
• Minimum 1 year working as an Automotive Technician or equal, elsewhere
