Job summary

HireTalent is seeking an experienced Category Manager to support strategic sourcing and contracting within our battery energy storage portfolio. This is an individual contributor role requiring collaboration with internal stakeholders, suppliers, and cross-functional teams.

You will lead RFPs, RFIs, RFQs, negotiate master service agreements, and optimize supplier performance to enable critical infrastructure initiatives.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in procurement, sourcing, or category management.
• Strong expertise in contract negotiation and contract management.
• Demonstrated experience leading RFP, RFI, and RFQ processes end-to-end.
• Familiarity with structured sourcing methodologies.
• Experience procuring both equipment and services.
• Strong understanding of commercial terms, pricing models, and supplier evaluation.

Responsibilities

• Lead negotiation and execution of master service agreements and project-specific contracts.
• Ensure commercial terms align with category strategy, risk mitigation, and business objectives.
• Partner with internal stakeholders to review, refine, and finalize contractual agreements.
• Own end-to-end sourcing activities including RFPs, RFIs, and RFQs.
• Develop sourcing strategies aligned with category goals and market conditions.
• Evaluate supplier proposals, drive competitive bidding processes, and lead award recommendations.
• Apply structured sourcing methodologies (e.g., seven-step sourcing process) and manage stakeholder/supplier relationships.
