The Battery Software Integration Engineer will lead OEM collaborations to translate legacy hardware into scalable software interfaces within our BESS framework.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in controls and software engineering for lithium-ion batteries.
• Experience as a primary software POC with external suppliers, OEMs, or cross-functional teams.
• Proficiency in Rust, Python, and C/C++ within automotive or industrial contexts.
• Strong knowledge of CAN, Automotive Ethernet, and diagnostic tooling.
• Ability to reverse-engineer and adapt OEM software for circular energy ecosystems.

Responsibilities

• Lead engineering conversations with OEMs to translate legacy hardware into software interfaces.
• Design and deploy translation layers and gateways for second-life battery packs.
• Develop containerized apps for BMS communication, data parsing, and fault management.
• Build resilient CAN, Ethernet, and Modbus interfaces for multiple OEM packs.
• Collaborate with power electronics, site controllers, and BMS teams to harmonize operations.
• Drive validation across simulations, HIL platforms, and hardware-in-the-loop tests.
