Qualifications

• BS or MS in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering with 2+ years of software experience for hardware-constrained systems.
• Proficiency in Rust and Python, with safe, efficient site orchestration and tooling.
• Experience with Linux, containerization, and edge computing.
• Knowledge of industrial protocols (ModbusTCP, CAN); DNP3/IEC 61850 is a plus.
• Experience with OTA firmware pipelines and secure cloud-to-downstream updates.
• Familiarity with time-series databases and data visualization for monitoring energy systems.
• Track record of integrating various hardware components into a unified software platform.

Responsibilities

• Design scalable, resilient Site Controller software for coordinating thousands of distributed microcontrollers.
• Develop multi-rate control logic for site coordination and real-time grid execution.
• Implement fault management, autonomous recovery, and failsafe modes.
• Define deterministic networking interfaces and protocols for low-latency data flow.
• Build software interfaces for Pack Manager to integrate heterogeneous downstream controllers.
• Write modular, testable code with automated unit and integration tests.
• Work with telemetry and logging tools to monitor system health and performance.
