Job summary

Interstate Batteries is seeking a Route Service Manager to deliver batteries and provide exceptional service to a defined dealer route. You will collaborate with dealers to optimize battery mixes on the rack, ensure battery quality programs are followed, and strengthen dealer relationships for improved retention.

The role requires a minimum of one year in delivery and customer service, a valid CDL, and the ability to lift up to 75 lbs.

Qualifications

• High school graduate (or equivalent).
• Able to read, write, and compute basic math.
• Excellent communication skills required.

Responsibilities

• Deliver batteries and service each dealer on your route safely and on time.
• Follow all Environmental Health and Safety rules and policies.
• Load and unload trucks and maintain accurate records of assets.
• Establish, build, and maintain dealer relationships.
• Keep displays clean, full, and rotated per consignment agreements.
• Manage a dealer account including sales, consignment, warranties, returns, cash collection, and invoicing.
• Complete delivery/route transactions and paperwork promptly.
• Interact professionally with team members, managers, and customers.
• Follow driver program requirements as specified by manager.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
