Job summary

Interstate Batteries in Angier, North Carolina, is seeking a Hot Shot Driver to deliver batteries to dealers and support warehouse operations. You will run routes, load/unload, and ensure on-time, safe deliveries.

The role requires basic math, reading/writing, computer use, and a clean driving record; forklift experience is a plus. You will work under supervision and interact with team members and customers daily; PPE is provided.

Qualifications

Ability to read, write and perform basic math.
Working knowledge of computers or ability to learn applicable systems.
Experience with inventory management tools (tablets/scanners) preferred.
Must have a clean driving record and meet driver qualifications.
Ability to operate a motor vehicle and/or forklift.

Responsibilities

Run the Hot Shots and assigned routes on a timely basis as needed.
Load and unload batteries.
General warehousing duties as assigned by management, including assisting customers.
Deliver batteries to customers on a timely basis and in a safe and professional manner.
Follow all Environmental Health and Safety rules and policies.
Ensure batteries are charged, cleaned and dated, and that stock is rewrapped after rotation.
Accurately complete reports and claims.
Interact professionally with all stakeholders including team members, managers and customers.
Follow / fulfill all driver program requirements, as specified by the manager.
Perform other duties as assigned.
