Job summary

Sure Power, Inc. seeks a Field Service Trainer to develop and deliver comprehensive training for Field Service Technicians on battery backup systems and power distribution equipment.

You will create lesson plans, labs, modules, and guides, and deliver in-person or online training on equipment operations, troubleshooting, and company policies. You will assess trainees with written exams and hands-on tests, revise courses for new products, and provide coaching materials to managers.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or technical degree
• 3+ years of direct field experience required
• Valid driver’s license with good driving record and able to meet DOT regulations
• NFPA 70E certification preferred
• Willingness to travel to job sites, overnight travel, and possibly nights/weekends
• Basic computer proficiency necessary

Responsibilities

• Create lesson plans, hands-on labs, digital modules, and training guides.
• Teach classes in person or online covering equipment operations and policies.
• Test trainees on mechanical and diagnostic skills for field work.
• Revise courses when new products or field software are updated.
• Provide managers with observation forms or coaching packets.
• Lead mandatory safety training focused on NFPA 70E, OSHA, LOTO.
• Evaluate technician competencies through exams and hands-on tests.
• Travel to job sites for field audits, ride-alongs, and coaching.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
