Job description

BatteryPlant Engineer

Location:Liberty, NC
Pay Rate: $50-60/hour
Overtime: 20% overtime, some weekends required
Steel Toe Boots Required
Travel: Domestic (20%), potential international travel in the future

We are looking for anEngineer to play a key role in the installation and commissioning of advanced battery production lines. This role offers a highly competitive pay rate and an opportunity to work on cutting-edge projects in a fast-paced and collaborative environment.

What You’ll Be Doing:
  • Leading equipment installation efforts, including ovens, piping, mixing, and web-handling equipment.

  • Coordinating with contractors, suppliers, and cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration.

  • Participating in equipment trials, commissioning, and mass production handover.

  • Engaging in advanced cleanliness protocols (clean rooms) for battery manufacturing.

  • Conducting root cause analysis and implementing countermeasures for equipment performance.

  • Managing project schedules, KPIs, and budgets.

  • Collaborating with domestic and international teams to meet business milestones.

Who You Are:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical field.

  • Experience in equipment installation and capital project execution (over $0.5M preferred).

  • Strong 2D drawing interpretation skills (facility/process equipment).

  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Microsoft Office, and project management tools.

  • Ability to travel domestically (20%) and be open to potential international travel (Japan for meetings/trials, 1-2 weeks at a time, 4-6 months depending on business needs).

  • Willingness to work occasional weekends, holidays, and shutdown periods as needed.
