BatteryPlant Engineer
Location:Liberty, NC
Pay Rate: $50-60/hour
Overtime: 20% overtime, some weekends required
Steel Toe Boots Required
Travel: Domestic (20%), potential international travel in the future
We are looking for anEngineer to play a key role in the installation and commissioning of advanced battery production lines. This role offers a highly competitive pay rate and an opportunity to work on cutting-edge projects in a fast-paced and collaborative environment.
Leading equipment installation efforts, including ovens, piping, mixing, and web-handling equipment.
Coordinating with contractors, suppliers, and cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration.
Participating in equipment trials, commissioning, and mass production handover.
Engaging in advanced cleanliness protocols (clean rooms) for battery manufacturing.
Conducting root cause analysis and implementing countermeasures for equipment performance.
Managing project schedules, KPIs, and budgets.
Collaborating with domestic and international teams to meet business milestones.
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical field.
Experience in equipment installation and capital project execution (over $0.5M preferred).
Strong 2D drawing interpretation skills (facility/process equipment).
Proficiency in AutoCAD, Microsoft Office, and project management tools.
Ability to travel domestically (20%) and be open to potential international travel (Japan for meetings/trials, 1-2 weeks at a time, 4-6 months depending on business needs).
Willingness to work occasional weekends, holidays, and shutdown periods as needed.
