Job summary

extcsskbatteryam seeks a highly analytical controls engineer to improve processes and maintain equipment in a battery manufacturing setting. The role requires collaboration across departments and vendors to drive plant efficiency, with potential on-call support due to 24/7 operations.

The successful candidate will troubleshoot PLC/HMI systems, lead preventative maintenance, and guide upgrades to production equipment while ensuring safety and quality standards are met.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor's degree or higher in engineering (mechanical, electrical or related).
• 5+ years of experience with PLCs and HMIs in a high-volume manufacturing maintenance environment.
• Battery production experience is beneficial.
• Experience with installation and setup of new battery production equipment.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and devise effective solutions for equipment challenges, including emergency repairs to minimize downtime.
• Oversee installation and setup of new/modified production equipment.
• Analyze PLC/HMI issues and develop corrective actions.
• Establish and follow preventative maintenance plans.
• Manage spare parts inventory and tools, including purchase orders and safety stock.
• Develop engineering solutions for uptime, safety and quality improvements.
• Report maintenance activities and indicators daily or weekly.
