extcsskbatteryam seeks a highly analytical controls engineer to improve processes and maintain equipment in a battery manufacturing setting. The role requires collaboration across departments and vendors to drive plant efficiency, with potential on-call support due to 24/7 operations.
The successful candidate will troubleshoot PLC/HMI systems, lead preventative maintenance, and guide upgrades to production equipment while ensuring safety and quality standards are met.
The battery manufacturing controls engineer is responsible for ensuring that plants create the best products possible in the most efficient manner. They are highly analytical and use these skills to examine and improve processes in order to increase productivity. Simultaneously, they are also responsible for ensuring that all equipment is properly maintained. The controls engineer must also be able to work with other departments and external parties to create and implement processes to increase the plant's efficiency. This position will involve interacting with other departments and vendors to solve complex and/or urgent problems by identifying and evaluating alternatives or by providing needed information and advice.
Candidate should be a motivated problem-solver that can provide creative solutions to given queries, taking effectiveness and quality into concern based on technological expertise and best practices. As the facility operates 24/7, this position may require on-call support in various circumstances.
