Job summary

Solid Power is seeking a Product Development Intern to join a team of engineers and scientists working on next-generation, all solid-state rechargeable batteries. The ideal candidate is enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s program in engineering, chemistry, or materials science and is prepared to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

• Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's program in engineering, chemistry, materials science or related STEM.
• Strong communication skills and ability to convey results to the broader team.

Responsibilities

• Run experiments at lab and production scales under the direction of scientists and engineers.
• Support separator fabrication by mixing and hand casting separator slurries.
• Support slurry development by filtering slurry, collecting rheological data, and Hegman gauges.
• Characterize electrodes/separators using 90-degree peel, tensile, mandrel bend, and nanoindentation tests.
• Build pellet, coin, and pouch cells to evaluate stability and performance of components.
