Job summary

Ford Motor Company seeks a Manufacturing/Process Engineer for BlueOval Battery Park Michigan in Marshall, MI. You will drive development, validation and continuous improvement of battery manufacturing processes, aiming to raise yield, efficiency and cost performance in a startup setting.

You’ll lead PFMEA, control plans and SOPs; apply Lean, Six Sigma and Kaizen; mentor operators and engineers; and collaborate across design, quality, supply chain and EHS to support new product launches and

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
• 2+ years of experience in automotive manufacturing and/or battery cell manufacturing or EV battery plant operations
• Ability to travel including internationally

Responsibilities

• Drive development, validation, and continuous improvement of battery manufacturing processes.
• Lead fault resolution and equipment digitalization initiatives.
• Establish PFMEA, control plans, and SOPs for battery manufacturing processes.
• Drive continuous improvement using Lean, Six Sigma, and Kaizen methodologies to reduce waste and variation.
• Collaborate with design engineering, quality, supply chain, EHS, and maintenance teams to resolve issues and support new product launches.
• Support root cause analysis and processes for scrap reduction, safety incidents, and quality escapes.
