Job summary

Publix in Lakeland, Florida is seeking an Industrial Maintenance Associate to perform preventative maintenance on a variety of powered industrial equipment batteries in accordance with company policy and regulatory standards. You will work with a team, follow manuals, and ensure safety while maintaining equipment reliability.

The role requires lifting up to 40 pounds, flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays, and the ability to obtain necessary certifications to operate equipment.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old (or 19 years old for positions in Alabama) and able to pass required tests.
• Able to work nights, weekends, holidays, and extended periods.
• Able to lift at least 40 pounds.
• Must obtain certification and operate powered industrial equipment.
• Ability to read, write, and perform basic math.
• Successfully complete testing: Computation, Following Written Directions, Space Visualization, Mechanical Aptitude.
• Able to interpret, understand, and follow instructions.
• Experience generating and processing work in a computerized maintenance-management system.
• Able to work well with others as a team member in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent attendance and punctuality; commitment to Publix.
• Current Industrial Maintenance associate
• Have a valid driver's license and authorization to drive a company vehicle on or before start date.
