Job summary

Publix Super Markets is seeking a maintenance teammate to perform preventative maintenance on powered industrial equipment batteries and assist in related duties. You will work within the Industrial Maintenance department and be required to operate CMMS, follow safety rules, and collaborate with others to keep equipment in top condition.

Applicants must be able to work nights, weekends, and holidays, lift 40 lbs, and pass required certifications and tests before starting.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old or at least 19 years old for positions in Alabama.
• Ability to work nights, weekends, holidays, and extended periods of time.
• Ability to lift a minimum of 40 pounds.
• Ability to obtain certification and operate powered industrial equipment.
• Ability to read, write, and solve math problems.
• Tests to complete before starting: Computation, Following Written Directions, Space Visualization, Mechanical Aptitude.
• Ability to interpret, understand, and follow instructions.
• Capable of generating and processing work on a computerized maintenance-management system.
• Ability to work well with others and be a team member.
• Excellent attendance and punctuality.

Responsibilities

• Performing preventative maintenance on a variety of powered industrial equipment batteries according to company policy, federal, state, and local regulations, repair manuals, factory specifications, and personal knowledge.
• Assisting in other duties as assigned.
