Job summary

Publix is seeking an Industrial Maintenance associate to perform preventative maintenance on batteries and related equipment, following policy, regulations, manuals, and company standards. You will assist in other duties as assigned and interact with a team in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires lifting 40 pounds, night/weekend shifts, and the ability to obtain necessary certifications to operate equipment. A current CMMS familiarity and valid driver's license are preferred.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old (19 in Alabama).
• Ability to work nights, weekends, holidays, and extended periods.
• Ability to lift a minimum of 40 pounds.
• Ability to obtain certification and operate powered industrial equipment.
• Ability to read, write, and solve math problems.
• Complete tests before start date: Computation, Following Written Directions, Space Visualization, Mechanical Aptitude.
• Ability to interpret, understand, and follow instructions.
• Capable of generating and processing work on a computerized maintenance-management system (CMMS).
• Team player with excellent attendance and punctuality.
• Willingness to advance; self-motivated; strong problem-solving; safe work habits.
• Commitment to Publix and our mission.
• Current Industrial Maintenance associate.
• Have a valid driver's license and authorization to drive a company vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Performing preventative maintenance on powered industrial equipment batteries according to policy, regulations, manuals, and specs.
• Assisting in other duties as assigned.
