Job summary

Publix Super Markets is seeking a Maintenance Associate to perform preventative maintenance on a variety of powered industrial equipment batteries in our Industrial Maintenance department. You will follow company policy and regulatory standards while applying repair manuals and specs, and you will assist with additional duties as needed.

The role emphasizes safety, teamwork, attendance, and the ability to advance within Publix.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old (19 in Alabama)
• Ability to work nights, weekends, holidays
• Ability to lift 40 pounds
• Ability to obtain certification and operate powered industrial equipment
• Ability to read, write, and solve math problems
• Must successfully complete tests: Computation, Following Written Directions, Space Visualization, Mechanical Aptitude
• Ability to interpret, understand, and follow instructions
• Capable of using a computerized maintenance-management system
• Team player in a fast-paced environment
• Maintain excellent attendance and punctuality
• Willingness to advance
• Excellent verbal and written communication
• Strong problem-solving
• Self-motivated with safe work habits
