Job summary

Intertek is seeking a Battery Lab Technician I in Cortland, New York to support daily lab activities and maintain a safe, clean workspace. You will work with engineers, handle samples, assist with test setups, and coordinate battery disposal while ensuring accurate record-keeping.

Occasional travel up to 15% is required. The role offers a base wage of $22–$26 per hour with competitive benefits including medical, dental, vision, 401(k), PTO, and tuition reimbursement.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 2+ years in machining, electronics, lab, or related environment.
• Must have valid driver's license and clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Assist engineers with test set-up and tear-down of equipment and instrumentation.
• Perform shipping/receiving duties of batteries, including logging in samples.
• Assist Battery Testing Lead in executing test plans and procedures per instructions.
• Perform basic analysis of test data and calculations.
• Provide exceptional customer experience during onsite testing.
