Job summary

Ford Motor Company is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to optimize highly automated battery manufacturing equipment and drive process improvements. You will lead installations, commissioning, and ramp-up tied to launch milestones, and coordinate with engineering, operations, quality, and maintenance teams.

Ideal candidates bring a mechanical engineering background, 3–10+ years of manufacturing experience, and willingness to travel extensively to support plant launches and operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or related field.
• 3–10+ years of relevant manufacturing experience (auto/battery).
• Willingness to travel 90–100% and work varied shifts.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical expertise to optimize highly automated manufacturing equipment and processes through data-driven solutions.
• Liaise between engineering, operations, and support to integrate equipment systems into processes.
• Champion ICAs and PCAs to resolve issues and prevent recurrence.
• Review PM plan performance using machine data to improve throughput, yield, and OEE.
