Job summary

Crown Battery Corporation in Fremont, OH is seeking an IND COS Inspector in Manufacturing to ensure battery cells meet specifications and quality standards. You will inspect cells after the COS operator finishes, then place the EP and cover on the cell and route it for heat sealing.

The role requires 18+ years of age, safety training, and at least 1 year in manufacturing. Basic math/computer skills and some hand tools are needed; prior battery assembly experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age.
• Experience with safety and environmental training.
• Minimum 1 year manufacturing/factory experience preferred in a fast-paced setting.
• Basic math and computer skills.
• Ability to use some hand tools.
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem solving; prior battery assembly experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Inspect cells coming out of the COS for defects.
• Place date stamp on the inside of the cell.
• Install EP and cover, send product to the heat seal.
• Understand and follow policies, procedures and instructions.
• Identify and report product, process and quality system non-conformities to lead personnel.
• Support implementation of corrective/preventative and improvement actions.
