Job summary

The IND COS Inspector at Crown Battery Manufacturing Co in Fremont, OH ensures all produced parts meet specifications and quality standards after the COS operator completes their portion of the process. The inspector then places the EP and cover on the cell and sends the product to heat seal.

They report to the Production Supervisor and must follow all safety guidelines while maintaining efficient, accurate inspections on the factory floor.

Qualifications

Must be 18 years of age.
Experience with safety and environmental training.
Minimum 1 year manufacturing/factory experience preferred in a fast-paced setting.
Basic math and computer skills.
Ability to use some hand tools.
Excellent troubleshooting and problem solving, prior battery assembly experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Understand and follow policies, procedures and instructions.
Identify and report product, process and quality system non-conformities to lead personnel.
Support implementation of corrective/preventative and improvement actions.
Proper use of personal protective equipment when required.
Proper housekeeping of the work area.
Inspects cells coming out of the COS for defects.
Place date stamp on the inside of the cell.
Install EP and cover, send product to the heat seal.
Be familiar and compliant with the Crown Quality System and related documentation.
