Job summary

Stealth Mode Startup is seeking a Mechanical Assembly and Rework Technician for a 3-month contract. The role focuses on connector soldering, adhesive-backed assembly, fixture operation, and rework of large battery busplates.

You will support prototypes and low-volume production with hands-on tooling, documentation, and strict process adherence. The position requires strong mechanical aptitude, detail orientation, and ability to read drawings and work instructions.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree or technical certification preferred.
• Hands-on experience in mechanical assembly or related manufacturing.
• Experience with hand and power tools and basic measuring equipment.
• Soldering experience preferred; ability to learn product-specific techniques.
• Ability to read drawings and follow work instructions.

Responsibilities

• Solder electrical connectors onto large busplates according to instructions.
• Assemble busplates using adhesives, fixtures, fasteners, and hand tools.
• Support prototype builds and low-volume production of large-format assemblies.
• Perform controlled rework using rework tools (Dremels, sanders, files).
• Prepare and clean surfaces to meet cleanliness requirements.
• Inspect assemblies for dimensions and workmanship with basic tools.
• Maintain tools/fixtures and document results and observed defects.
• Keep a clean, safe work area and follow PPE requirements.
