Job summary

Connex Education is seeking Unqualified Teaching Assistants to join primary schools in Bath from September 2026. This role offers flexible daily supply work, short-term placements, and longer-term assignments.

You will support teachers, work with pupils in small groups, and help create a positive learning environment while developing your own classroom skills. Immediate start available for suitable candidates.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 months’ experience working with children or young people is essential.
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply through Connex Education.
• Right to work in the UK.

Responsibilities

• Support teachers with classroom activities and learning tasks.
• Work with individual pupils and small groups to encourage participation.
• Assist in creating a positive and engaging learning environment.
• Help prepare classroom resources and learning materials.
• Promote positive behaviour and pupil wellbeing.
• Support pupils’ social, emotional, and academic development.
• Build strong relationships with pupils and staff.
• Follow safeguarding procedures and school policies at all times.
