Job summary

The Sherwin-Williams Company is hiring for a manufacturing role focused on pre-batching and blending raw materials to create colorant batches on the 2nd shift. You will follow detailed processing instructions and maintain a safe, clean, and productive work environment.

Responsibilities include operating high-speed mixers, paint-making equipment, monitoring materials for quality, maintaining logs, and collaborating across departments to complete production orders on time.

Qualifications

• One year of manufacturing and/or distribution experience.
• Experience monitoring gauges, dials, or machine indicators.
• Experience operating machinery in manufacturing environments.
• Experience monitoring quality of raw materials and finished goods.
• Experience using material handling equipment (forklifts, pallet jacks, hand trucks, etc.).
• Experience mixing or blending raw materials in an industrial batch process.

Responsibilities

• Select, pull, measure, and stage raw materials for manufacturing.
• Follow batch slip instructions to mix and blend batches in high-speed mixers.
• Make lab adjustments, incorporate approved samples, and maintain raw material samples.
• Operate paint-making control systems and equipment (HSDs, pumps, valves, etc.).
• Monitor raw materials and finished goods for quality.
• Comply with policies and standard operating procedures.
• Keep equipment logs, perform minor repairs, and report breakdowns.
• Maintain production records and reports as required.
• Collaborate with other departments to complete production orders on time.
• Monitor and replenish inventory of parts and supplies.
• Provide technical support and training to team members.
• Contribute ideas to improve manufacturing procedures.
• Keep tools and work environment clean and organized daily.
