Responsibilities

• Review batch sheets.
• Confirm RM #’s and Lot #’s and contact supervisor with discrepancies.
• Accurately weigh all ingredients and mark containers for traceability and allergen control.
• Close containers and drums and clean them before returning to warehouse.
• Keep scoops and containers clean and in good condition.
• Check scale for accuracy and cleanliness.
• Maintain pre-weigh area clean and organized.
• Communicate with Process Lead or Supervisor.
• Swing for production or CIP and maintain housekeeping during swings.
• Clean and label ingredients for return to warehouse.
• Know which ingredients can be combined and which must be kept separate.
• Operate liquid pumps for syrups and oils.
• Weigh ingredients timely and accurately.
• Document weights and lots on batch sheets and sign off per ingredient and batch.
• Basic blending and processing knowledge.
• Know gasket usage, replacement and clamps and fittings.
• Know how to inspect and clean strainers and magnets.
• Know how to remove and clean shock absorbers for homogenizers.
• Follow batching instructions and maintain safety during batching.
