Job summary

Aurora Organic Dairy is seeking a Batching Operator to join our Columbia, MO facility. This role operates blending, separating, thermizing, and remix systems to produce milk with specified butterfat content, meeting state and federal regulations and ensuring product integrity.

The operator will batch dry and liquid ingredients, transfer milk between silos and processing equipment, and participate in cross-training for milk receiving and processing to support flexible production needs.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or equivalent required.
Degree in Dairy Science or 2 years in related field preferred.
Experience in dairy milk processing preferred.
Experience with computers and data entry preferred.

Responsibilities

Operate the blender, separator, thermizer, and remix systems, at both the automated and manual level.
Batch and blend ingredients to meet product specifications and comply with regulations.
Transfer milk from raw silos to processing equipment and initiate pasteurization.
Test samples of butterfat and solids; verify ranges meet state and federal requirements.
Maintain complete logs and documentation required by company, state, and fed mandates.
