Job summary

The Thompson Pipe Group is seeking a Mixer Operator in Rialto, CA to safely and efficiently run batching operations during 1st shift. You will operate a computer-controlled batching system, weigh materials, and ensure proper slump and truck loading while maintaining accurate records.

Applicants should have strong reading/writing/math skills, a solid safety record, and a proactive work ethic. The role includes training responsibilities, a commitment to a safe workplace, and regular weekend

Qualifications

• Proficient in reading, writing, math and operational logic.
• Have extensive product and equipment knowledge.
• Excellent personal safety record.
• Self-starter with a very high standard of expectation of himself/herself and those with whom he/she works.
• Positive attitude toward other employees and supervisors.
• Excellent work ethic - punctuality, accuracy, and attendance.
• Exposure to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration; loud environment.

Responsibilities

• Operate batching facilities at maximum production levels.
• Run computer controlled batching system to transfer product to ready-mix trucks.
• Read orders and adjust mix design and slump as required.
• Weigh products and monitor control boards and screens.
• Inspect loading trucks and concrete quality as needed.
• Maintain daily records and inventories; order materials as needed.
• Assist with troubleshooting and safety lockout/tagout procedures.
• Support training of coworkers and maintain a clean, safe work environment.
