Job summary

Sika is seeking a Batch Operator for the Marion Plant to manage daily production of complex chemistry processes, ensuring safety, quality and efficiency. You’ll operate packaging and mixing equipment, monitor parameters, and participate in continuous improvement initiatives.

The role requires 3+ years in manufacturing, a high school diploma or GED, and strong English and math skills. Shift flexibility and teamwork are key, with training provided and safety takes priority.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 3+ years experience in an industrial/manufacturing environment.
• Must be able to read, write, speak and comprehend English.
• Good math skills including fractions, decimals and percentages.
• Ability to develop process expertise for troubleshooting.
• Excellent attendance record and flexibility to work any shift.

Responsibilities

• Operate and supervise daily production in complex chemistry processes.
• Ensure safety, housekeeping, quality, rate objectives and continuous improvement.
• Oversee packaging and mixing equipment to meet SOPs.
• Inspect area for safety compliance and maintain documentation.
• Train and guide new/temporary employees; use SAP and PLC programs.
