Job summary

MFG Chemical is seeking a Chemical Operator to join our plant team in Georgia. You will operate batch chemical processing systems following batch records, with emphasis on safety, efficiency, and clean work practices.

The role requires basic math, good communication, and a willingness to work with hazardous materials in a production environment. You will report to the Shift Supervisor and support daily plant operations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Effective written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
• Basic mathematical skills and chemical knowledge.
• Basic knowledge of MFG's chemical process or prior experience in a similar work environment.
• Work Ethic and Safe work practices.

Responsibilities

• Provide support in gathering required raw materials, preparing/cleaning process equipment, drumming and other qualified duties as directed.
• Follow safety procedures and use proper safety equipment for all assigned tasks.
• Operate material handling equipment such as hand trucks and powered lift trucks.
• Conduct plant housekeeping, general maintenance and landscaping duties as directed.
• Participate in safety programs.
• Participate in supervised training programs.
• This position reports directly to the Shift Supervisor or Lead Operator.
• Maintain a clean and safe operating area.
• Follow safety procedures and use proper safety equipment for all assigned tasks.
• Learn and practice environmental, health and safety regulations and wear the prescribed personal protective equipment.
• Manufacture batches and maintain proper use of production equipment.
• Ensure inventory accuracy in accordance to established policies.
• Maintain a clean production area and equipment. Ensure Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) are followed and work area meets all requirements for housekeeping.
• Weigh, measure, and check raw materials to ensure batches manufactured contain proper ingredients and quantities.
• Assist in maintenance activities as required.
