Job summary

Sika Corporation in Marion, Ohio is seeking a Batch Operator to run daily chemistry processes at the Marion Plant, ensuring safety, quality, and productivity. You will operate packaging and mixing equipment, monitor SOPs, and support continuous improvement.

The role requires a high school diploma, 3+ years in manufacturing, and the ability to work various shifts. Training will include SAP and PLC usage, with a focus on teamwork and strong attendance.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or GED.
• 3+ years experience in an industrial/manufacturing environment.
• Must read, write, speak and comprehend English.
• Strong math skills including fractions, decimals, and percentages.
• Develop process expertise to facilitate troubleshooting.
• Excellent attendance record.
• Able to work any shift and overtime as needed.
• Forklift operation and equipment handling.

Responsibilities

• Participate in Sika SAFE Program.
• Maintain safety and high housekeeping standards in the work area.
• Oversee packaging equipment to meet specifications.
• Drive safety, communication, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
• Inventory checks of raw and packaging materials.
• Operate and monitor mixing equipment per SOPs and validated parameters.
• Ensure product weight, appearance, and DOT labeling meet standards.
• Use PLC and monitor flowmeters; operate valves and pumps.
• Train new and temporary employees.
• Utilize SAP and PLC programs.
• Carry out additional projects as directed by Plant Leadership.
