Job summary

PPG Cleveland, OH plant is seeking a Production Operator to support manufacturing operations and ensure a quality product is available for customers. The role requires handling equipment, following safety procedures, and assisting junior operators as needed.

Overtime is available with shift-based pay differentials. Primary duties include setting up, operating, and maintaining production equipment, performing inspections, and moving equipment between areas.

Qualifications

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds on a consistent basis throughout the day.
• Experience in a manufacturing or warehouse environment is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, maintain, and troubleshoot manufacturing production equipment (machining, processing, assembly, or packaging).
• Setup production equipment and supplies before executing job orders and operate equipment safely and effectively for production processing.
• Ensure that equipment is maintained in good and safe working condition.
• Inspect equipment to identify replacements, malfunctions, and repairs.
• Perform regular equipment maintenance to ensure production capacity and quality; assist junior operators as needed.
• Repair and clean equipment; evaluate performance and recommend improvements.
• Operate trucks and other industrial vehicles to move production equipment between warehouse and work area; follow safety procedures.
