Job summary

Gainwell Technologies is seeking a Batch Application Programmer (C, UNIX/Linux) to contribute to health and human services software initiatives from a fully remote U.S. location.

You will design, develop, install, test and document server, client and web components while aligning with client goals and ROI. The role collaborates with architects and developers, demanding strong SDLC knowledge and clear communication.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of Software Design, Development, and Application Support experience, with on-call support experience preferred.
• 3+ years of hands-on experience with C Batch, Unix/Linux, and SQL; experience with Python is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of the SDLC, Software Design Principles, Operating Systems, and Application Development Policies and Procedures; Web Services Development experience preferred.
• Proven programming and technical problem-solving skills, with the ability to design, develop, and support solutions across multiple programming languages and environments.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with clients, senior leaders, and cross-functional teams to achieve business objectives.

What we're looking for

• Willingness to work a flexible schedule to accommodate business needs and travel as required.

The deadline to submit applications for this posting is December 30, 2026 .The pay range for this position is $58,200.00 - $83,200.00 per year, however, the base pay offered may vary depending on geographic region, internal equity, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors.
