Job summary

The Town of East Longmeadow is seeking a part-time basketball scorekeeper for evenings and weekends during the basketball season. Under the direction of the Deputy Recreation Director, you will record game information and help ensure the game runs smoothly.

Candidates should know basic basketball scoring, be dependable and punctual, and able to communicate with referees and staff. Prior scorekeeping is helpful but not required; you must be 15 years of age or older.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of basketball rules and scoring procedures preferred.
• Prior scorekeeping, sports, or recreation experience is helpful but not required.
• Must be dependable, punctual, and attentive to detail.
• Ability to work independently and communicate effectively with referees and recreation staff.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced game environment.
• Must be able to remain focused throughout the duration of a game.
• Must be 15 years of age or older.

Part time, Non-Union - up to 19 hours - Evenings/Weekends during Basketball Season

General Description: Under the direction of the Deputy Recreation Director, this position is responsible for accurately recording game information and helping ensure the game runs smoothly. This is a great opportunity for individuals who enjoy basketball and working with youth in a recreation setting.
