Job summary

The Town of East Longmeadow is seeking a part-time, non-union basketball scorekeeper up to 19 hours per week, evenings and weekends during basketball season.

Under the direction of the Deputy Recreation Director, you will accurately record game information and help ensure the game runs smoothly, working with referees and recreation staff.

Candidates should know basketball rules, be dependable, punctual, and detail-oriented, and comfortable in a fast-paced environment; must be 15 or older.

Requirements:

• Knowledge of basic basketball rules and scoring procedures preferred.
• Prior scorekeeping, sports, or recreation experience is helpful but not required.
• Must be dependable, punctual, and attentive to detail.
• Ability to work independently and communicate effectively with referees and recreation staff.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced game environment.
• Must be able to remain focused throughout the duration of a game.
• Must be 15 years of age or older.

Qualifications:

• First Aid Certification, CPR & AED not required, but appreciated.
• Knowledge of basketball rules.
