Job summary

The St. Johns River Water Management District is seeking a Strategic Planning Basin Coordinator to advance basin priorities, manage projects, and coordinate with stakeholders. The role involves planning basin plans, budgeting, and presenting to leadership and regional partners.

Located at the Apopka Service Center, the position requires strong communication, collaboration, and project management skills. Starting salary range is $91,145.60 to $123,032.00, with benefits including retirement,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in natural or environmental science, water resources, engineering or related field.
• Five years of professional experience in the environmental or water resources field, one of which includes leading a project team, coordination activities of a work group, or serving as a team lead.
• Master’s degree can substitute for one year of the required experience.
• Doctorate can substitute for two years of the required experience.
• Professional experience can substitute on a year-for-year basis for the required education.

Responsibilities

• Develops basin priorities and clearly defined objectives for assigned strategic planning basin; advocates and influences change across the basin.
• Facilitates and coordinates resources to deliver milestones for the basin, developing work plans, schedules, and monitoring.
• Presents and advocates to media, leadership, the Governing Board, regional stakeholders and others as required.
• Assists with development, implementation and management of scopes, budgets, and district documents for the basin.
