The Basic Needs Resource Specialist serves as a primary student-facing point of contact for the Weber State University Basic Needs Center. The position is primarily responsible for front desk operations, welcoming students, providing general information, scheduling appointments, responding to communications, and helping students connect with Basic Needs Center services and resources.
The position is cross-trained in basic needs resource navigation, emergency funding, financial wellness, FAFSA assistance, and outreach. The Specialist supports a "No Wrong Door" approach by ensuring students receive information, assistance, or an appropriate referral regardless of how they initially connect with the Center.
